OWA believes healthy individuals make a healthy and stronger nation. Thus, an investment in the health of individuals and communities is crucial to improved wellbeing. OWA strives to ensure communities are accessible to health care services by providing health supplies to local communities. OWA also focuses on sexual and reproductive services, HIV prevention, health education and nutrition to improve people’s wellbeing and long-live expectancy.
Sexual and reproductive health services:
Some of the sexual and reproductive health services provided by OWA are:
- Right to safe child birth
- Family planing
- Antenatal care
- Maternal health
- Postnatal care
- HIV prevention
- To reduce maternal mortality and the spread of Sexually Transmitted Infections(STIS), OWA works by collaborating with local health centres and hospitals, to support patients who are unable to access mainstream health services, based on lack of funds or distance from their location.
- OWA also joins forces with local health centres and hospitals to provide health and sexual education to young women and youths to ensure the prevention of STIS, teenage pregnancies, through the provision contraceptives.
- Likewise, pregnant women and new mothers are provided with antenatal and postnatal support to ensure planned parenthood.
OWA works across states in Nigeria to provide health supplies, and other health-related items to hospitals and local health centres, to ensure improved wellbeing for individuals and communities.

Prevention and treatment of Vesico-Vagina Fistula(VVF):
Vesico-Vagina Fistula is a medical condition that disrupts lives of young mothers and teenagers. OWA combats VVF by identifying communities with a high prevalence of this condition, and educate them on the health and social dangers of VVF.
OWA supports affected women and girls by increasing access to medical facilities and health services.
OWA also provides counselling and psychosocial support for the victims.
